Shannon Taylor thinks she has the picture perfect life.
Engaged to marry her college boyfriend and a best friend who’s more like a sister, life is almost perfect. That is until her world is tilted by two of the most important people in her life.
A chance encounter leads Shannon down a path that will force her to confront a past she has meticulously ignored for ten years.
Nicholas Lockhart, renowned bachelor, has a reputation for his cold eyes and icy heart. Meeting a woman who can turn his world upside down is not in the cards; that is until Shannon.
When Shannon's world crashes, she wonders if it's possible to crack Nick's icy heart. A web of lies and twisted truths soon leaves both bare and vulnerable.
Silence no longer offers her protection or safety.
Will remaining silent cost Shannon the real love she's finally found? Or will she stay silent no more?
About N.E. Henderson: I was born & raised in Mississippi where I still live with my husband and son. I’m a book lover and I can usually be found with my cell phone or iPad and reading on my kindle app.
Writing is a passion. I do because I really love it and because I need to get all the characters that just seem to pop up out of the blue....out of my pretty little head. Writing a novel is something I’ve wanted to do for so many years and I could kick myself for not doing it sooner. It’s taken me a long time to finally believe in self to put it on paper…or in my case a Word document on my computer.
When I’m not reading the next indie novel or writing, I love spending time with my guys (hubby and son). We love four wheeler riding and finding new ATV trails. I'm also a roller coaster junkie!
My debut novel, Silent No More, will be released on 12/3/13

FMM: Do any of your characters from Silent No More share the some of the same personality traits as you?
NEH: Yes
FMM: Do you have any advice for aspiring authors?
NEH: Believe in yourself. Don't try to please orders. Write the story just the way you see it in your head, but also take constructive criticism; it's good for you. Not everyone is going to like your story and that's perfectly ok. You can't please everyone so don't try. Do it for you.
FMM: How or when did you know that writing was a career that you wanted to pursue?
NEH: After I finished Silent No More. I've always wanted to write, but I lacked confidence. I suck at grammar and I mean I really suck at it. I'm a horrible communicator (verbally) so I didn't think I could do it. Yet I've always had characters and stories in my head. Finally I decided I wanted to get the stories out and see where they go.
FMM: What is the hardest part about being an author?
NEH: Social networking, marketing, promoting, and just getting your name and book out there. I'm a shy person so networking is really hard for me. You have to do it though. Writing is by way the easiest part of being a writer.
FMM: When you write, do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day?
NEH: Yes and no. I'm always have a goal that I want to end with, but rarely meet it or stick to it. Honestly the best method for me is to write until I can't write any longer, until the story is stuck and I have to set back and think about it.
FMM: Where do you see publishing going in the future?
NEH: No clue really. I hope it stays on the path it is today and self publishing continues to grow.
FMM: Is there any message in your novel that you want your readers to grasp?
NEH: Sure. In Silent No More I want people to know it's okay to have a voice. No matter what happens to you in life, secrets are never a good thing. They hurt the person keeping them the most. Secrets are worth getting secret no matter what they are. A person can never move on or be free as long as they are holding things back.
